Sample Collection and Preparation
The RAZOR Prep Kits include all of the items needed for
collecting liquid and dry samples as well as all of the tools for loading the pouch. Our unique kit combines sample collection and preparation all in one compact package.
Included in the RAZOR Prep Kit are:
- Breakpoint swabs for powder or dirty liquid samples
- Pipette for liquid samples and dilutions
- Dilution and preparation vials
Pouch Formats
We offer a variety of preformatted detection kits that test
everything from anthrax to salmonella. The RAZOR Pouches come in the following formats:
11+1 Well Format
This format allows testing for 11 targets from one sample. The Ten™ 10 Target Screen Kit is designed with this format:
4x3 Well Format
This format allows testing for three targets from two different samples. The following kits are designed with this format: RAZOR Training Pouch, RAZOR Yeast Kit, RAZOR BA3 Target Kit, RAZOR Food Screen 3 Target Kit and RAZOR Water Screen 3 Target Kit.
Training Kits
BioFire Diagnostics offers several different training pouches for keeping current with your RAZOR EX or RAZOR instruments. Training kits contain all items that come in standard assay pouch kits. Training pouches are available in 11+1 or 4x3 formats allowing for training applicable to real-world scenarios.
RAZOR Training Pouch (color dyes) and Sample Prep Kit
A 4x3 formatted pouch loaded with color dyes provides training on pouch loading procedures. With the color dyes, you receive instant feedback on loading techniques, for example, ensuring air bubbles are not loaded into the pouch. Note: the color dyes will not amplify on the RAZOR EX or RAZOR instrument.
RAZOR Simulant Training Pouch (The 10®) and Sample Prep Kit
A 11+1 formatted pouch that mimics the format of The Ten®
Target Screen. A yeast and a BG assay allow you to train in a real-world scenario from sampling, pouch loading to running a RAZOR EX or RAZOR instrument complete with data analysis.
RAZOR Yeast Kit and Sample Prep Kit
A 4x3 formatted pouch that mimics the format of the BA3, Food Screen and Water Screen Pouches. A yeast assay allows you to train in a real-world scenario from
sampling, pouch loading to running a RAZOR EX or RAZOR instrument complete with data analysis.
